| Gustav Braun Gustav E. Braun, 60, of Boyertown and formerly of Lawndale, husband of Marianne Braun (born Mierzejewski), died Dec. 24, 2003. Mr. Braun was a retired Philadelphia police officer. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 29 at St. William Church. He was the father of Marianne Braun and son of Catherine. He was a brother of Christine Gordon, Lynn Gaiser and the late Carol Clay. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John Cipolla John F. Cipolla of Clifton Heights, husband of the late Norma E. Cipolla (born Tarantino), died Dec. 24, 2003. Kolb, brother of Phyllis Milano and Lucy Moore. Walter Hauk Sr. Walter M. Hauk Sr., 91, of Conshohocken, husband of the late Alma C. Hauk (born Seidel), died Dec. 27, 2003. Mr. Hauk was a former employee of Merck, Sharp and Dohme of West Point, Pa. for over 25 years and an employment and placement manager until his retirement. He was a member of the Presidential Committee for Hiring the Handicapped and also was a member of the American Legion. During World War II, he served in the Army. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 31 at St. Matthew Church, Conshohocken. Burial was at St. Matthew Cemetery. He was the father of Louise Anne Dorsam and Thomas Jr., Roberta A. Corbin, Kathleen E. Hauk, Maureen E. Hauk, Walter M. Hauk Jr. and Carol, Richard P. Hauk. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was a brother of John E. Hauk, Martha Crookshank and Patricia G. Hauk. Sister Mary Jordan Sister Mary Jordan, S.S.J., the former Sister Ignatius, died Dec. 16, 2003. She was 80. Born in Bayonne, N.J., Sister Mary Jordan entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1941. She served in the Philadelphia, Newark and Washington Archdioceses. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 19 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. Burial was at the community cemetery. She was the sister of the late Margaret Smith and Catherine Blair. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins and member of her religious congregation. Laura Kilgallon Laura Kilgallon (born Kopiec), wife of the late Thomas Kilgallon, died Dec. 23, 2003. She was a sister of Mary Yhost. John Logan John F. Logan of Glenside, husband of the late Elizabeth D. Logan (born McDonald), died Dec. 25, 2003. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. He was the father of Roman, Jane Neiman, Teresa Lewandowski, Irene and Diane McKane. Also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister and one brother. Thomas Meehan Sr. Thomas J. Meehan Sr., 78, husband of Helen A. Meehan (born Johnson), died Dec. 19, 2003. He resided in Broomall and was formerly of Drexel Hill. Mr. Meehan was a postal clerk. He also served as a coach for 15 years at Episcopal Academy. He attended St. Thomas More High School. He was a brother of Margaret Chisholm. Sister Rita Joseph Sister M. Rita Joseph Pastorius, I.H.M., the former Nellie V. Pastorius, died Dec. 16, 2003. at the age of 96. Born in Bridgeport, Sister M. Rita Joseph entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1928. She served in the Philadelphia Archdiocese, including Little Flower, West Catholic, Cardinal Dougherty and Bishop Kenrick High Schools. She also served in Arlington, Va. She retired to Camilla Hall, Immaculata, in 1998. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 22 at Camilla Hall. Burial was at Immaculata. Surviving are two cousins, Father Laurence Gleason and Sister Joan Carroll, I.H.M., and members of her congregation. Sister Christine Roche Sister Christine Roche, S.S.J., the former Catherine B. Roche, died Dec. 11, 2003. She was 77. Born in Bayonne, N.J., Sister Christine entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1944. She served in the Philadelphia and Baltimore Archdioceses. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 16 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. Burial was at the community cemetery. She was the sister-in-law of Kathrynn Roche. Also survived by nieces and nephews, and members of her congregation. Sister Tolentine Sister Tolentine, S.S.J., the former Roseann Mellon, died Dec. 18, 2003. She was 97. Born in Ireland, Sister Tolentine entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1927. She served in the Philadelphia and Washington Archdioceses and the Harrisburg Diocese. The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 23 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. Burial was at the community cemetery. Surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and members of her congregation.
