Prayer: The power and beauty: Our Lady of Mount Carmel: The notorious Black Death swept through Europe in 1347, killing as many as 800 people a day. No one was spared, not even priests and the religious. The Order of Carmel suffered so many losses that one of its members fell on his knees and begged the powerful Patroness of the order to intercede on its behalf.


Black Catholic: A trinity of gifts for a faithful friend: he faithful turned out in great numbers to show their appreciation and love at St. Peter Claver Evangelization Center recently at a Mass of Thanksgiving for the many years of service given to the Black Catholic community by Mrs. Patricia Shelton.
Education: Scholarship fund will provide children with a Catholic education: A grateful alumnus of St. Hugh of Cluny School has initiated a scholarship fund that has thus far generated $10,000 toward a goal of $100,000 — contributing to the future hopes of individual students as well as adding another progam to the burgeoning efforts designed to improve life in the parish neighborhood.
