HUGH BAMBERGER
Hugh B. (Pete) Bamberger, 72, of Phoenixville, a former sales representative for the Container Corp. in Aston, died June 20, 2004. He was the husband of Joan Marie Bamberger (born Hartmann).
Mr. Bamberger was a former supervisor for Schuylkill Township and past president of the Phoenixville Kiwanis Club.
He was former president of the Historical Society of Phoenixville Area and a active member of the Men of Malvern.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Basil the Great Church, Kimberton.
He was the father of Megan A., Dr. H. Brent Jr., Gregory J. and Dr. P. Kurt Bamberger.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren.
He was a brother of Ann Wren Moessbauer and E. Clinton Bamberger.

DR. HENRY D’ALONZO
Dr. Henry A. D’Alonzo, 77, professor emeritus at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, died June 19, 2004. He was the husband of Eva D’Alonzo (born Jasinski).
Dr. D’Alonzo was associated with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for 40 years. He retired in 1991.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Justin Martyr Church, Penn Valley. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
He was the father of Bona Lisa D’Alonzo, Diana Porges, Patricia Spenner and Henry S. D’Alonzo.
Also survived by four grandchildren.
He was a brother of Rita Chadwick.

ALICE DEWAELE
Alice I. DeWaele (born Bendel) of Glen Mills and formerly of Primos, died June 20, 2004. She was the wife of the late Charles A. DeWaele.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 23 at St. Eugene Church, Primos. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
She was the mother of Elizabeth M. Carney, Natalie M. Gallen, the late Henry DeWaele and Alice Henry.
Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a sister of Agnes Eberly.

SOPHIE FRANZEN
Sophie P. Franzen (born Scerbinski), wife of the late Fred W. Franzen, died June 22, 2004.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 25 at St.Michael Church. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
She was the mother of Carol J. Lai and Robert W. Franzen Sr.
Also survived by two grandchildren.
She was a sister of Josephine Vattimo and the late Jean Patrick, Frank, Edward and John Scerbinski.

DR. JOHN GREGG
Dr. John R. Gregg, 60, of Paoli, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, died June 22, 2004. He was the husband of JoAnn Gregg (born Luketich).
Dr. Gregg was a former team physician for the Philadelphia Flyers and Olympic athletes at Lake Placid and Los Angeles.
He also taught at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Graduate Hospital.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 25 at St. Norbert Church, Paoli.
He was the father of Molly Ann Philipp, Lisa Marie Platt and Amy E. Gregg.
Also survived by three grandchildren.
He was a brother of William and Charles Gregg.

SISTER FRANCIS LACEY
Sister M. Francis Clare Lacey, I.H.M., the former Rita C. Lacey, died June 16, 2004. She was 88.
Born in Philadelphia, Sister Francis Lacey entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1945.
She served in the Philadelphia Archdiocese and the Allentown Diocese.
She served at St. Maria Goretti and Archbishop Ryan High Schools and Holy Name High School in Reading and in Erlton, N.J.
In 1999, she retired to Camilla Hall, Immaculata.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 19 at Camilla Hall. Burial was at Immaculata.
Surviving are a sister, Agnes Chapman and members of her congregation.

SISTER ANDREA NAGURNEY
Sister M. Andrea Nagurney, O.S.B.M., 92, retired teacher at St. Basil Academy, died June 28, 2004.
Sister Andrea taught at St. Basil Academy from 1956 until her retirement in 1983.
The funeral Mass was celebrated July 1 at the chapel of the Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Fox Chase Manor. Burial was at the community cemetery.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Dakunchak, and members of her congregation.

VERONICA O’BRIEN
Veronica M. O’Brien (born McDonald), wife of the late Matthew J. O’Brien, died June 21, 2004.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Matthew Church. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
She was the mother of Veronica M. Murray and Patricia M. Pinnel.
Also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was a sister of Margaret Blackburn, Anna Mae Dodelin, Mary Ruoff and Edward McDonald.

FRANCIS PALERMO
Francis N. Palermo, husband of Elizabeth J. Palermo (born Sobolowski), died June 20, 2004.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Christopher Church.
He was the son of Nicholas J., father of Suzanne Annucci and Tina Marie, and brother of Pamela D’Amore.

SALVATORE PIERANGELI
Salvatore F. Pierangeli of Havertown, husband of Ann Pierangeli (born Valenti), died June 20, 2004.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Denis Church, Havertown. Burial was at St. Denis Cemetery.
He was the father of William, Alfonso and the late Charles.
Also survived by five grandchildren.
He was a brother of Dora Burghart, Rose Clark, Peter, Vincent, Rita Long and Madeline McMonagle.

JOHN PROKOP
John F. Prokop, husband of Anna May Prokop (born Weiss), died June 20, 2004.
The funeral Mass was celebrated June 25 at St. Christopher Church. Burial was at Forest Hills Cemetery.
He was the father of Charlene Pipito, John G., Gregory M. and Christopher.
Also survived by three grandchildren and three nieces.
He was a brother of Alberta Sherman.
