Msgr. Michael J. Bransfield named Bishop
Msgr. Michael J. Bransfield, 61, a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and rector of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., has been appointed Bishop of the West Virginia Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston by Pope John Paul II.
