| Sister Carol Forrest Sister Carol Forrest, S.H.C.J., the former Mother Mary Anicetus, a Sister of the Holy Child Jesus for 65 years, died May 17, 2005. She was 84. Sister Carol spent more than 30 years in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. She taught at the former St. Leonard Academy and Holy Spirit School, Sharon Hill. She also served at New Sharon and Haverford, and ministered in New Jersey, New York, California and Washington, D.C. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 21 at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, Bryn Mawr. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Surviving are a nephew, cousins and members of her congregation. Abbot Astrik Gabriel A funeral Mass was celebrated May 24, 2005, at Daylesford Abbey, Paoli, for Abbot Astrik L. Gabriel, O.Praem. He was 97 and died May 16. Born in Hungary, Abbot Gabriel was director and professor emeritus at the University of Notre Dame’s Medieval Insititute. He was director from 1952 until he retired in 1975. He entered the Norbertine Order in 1926. In 1974 the Holy See awarded him the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Medal. Burial was at the abbey. Surviving is a nephew, Otto L. Gabriel. Sister John Gallagher Sister John Bernard Gallagher, S.S.J., the former Delia Gallagher, died May 1, 2005, at the age of 90. Sister John Bernard entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1942. She served in the Philadelphia and Newark Archdioceses and the Allentown, Camden and Harrisburg Dioceses. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 4 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. Burial was at the community cemetery. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Margaret Gallagher; nieces, nephews and members of her congregation. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Bernard and Hugh Gallagher. Sister Anne Immaculee Sister M. Anne Immaculee Doyle, I.H.M., the former Mary C. Doyle, died April 28, 2005. She was 80. Born in Lansdowne, Sister Anne Immaculee served in the Philadelphia Archdiocese and the Allentown Diocese. She retired to Camilla Hall, Immaculata, in 1997. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 2 at Camilla Hall. Burial was at Immaculata. Surviving are nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, also members of her congregation. She was a sister of the late Father Thomas F. Doyle, James, Edward, Margaret, Ellen and Anne. Sister Mary Kulinska Sister Mary Potentia Kulinska, C.S.S.F., a Felician Sister for 76 years, died May 3, 2005. She was 93. The former Rose Kulinska, Sister Potentia taught in schools in New York, New Jersey, Delaware and California. She was living at the provincial house in Lodi, N.J. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 6 at the infirmary in Lodi. Burial was at the community cemetery. Surviving are brothers, Philip, Alexander and Bernard Kulinski; a sister, Genevieve Stephens, and members of her congregation. Sister Agnes Logue Sister Agnes Josephine Logue, S.S.J., the former Mary Jane Logue, died April 18, 2005. She was 83. Born in Philadelphia, Sister Agnes Josephine entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1941. She served in the Philadelphia and Newark Archdioceses, and the Allentown, Harrisburg and Raleigh Dioceses. The funeral Mass was celebrated April 22 at St. Joseph Villa, Flourtown. Burial was at the community cemetery. Surviving are a brother, Ted Logue; sisters-in-law, Maxine, Rosemary and Eileen Logue; nieces and nephews, and members of her congregation. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, George and James Logue. Sister Marie McVey Sister Marie Theresa McVey, I.H.M., the former Sister Mary Bernardo, died May 6, 2005. She was 83. Born in Philadelphia, Sister Marie Theresa served in the Philadelphia Archdiocese and Allentown Diocese. She retired to Camilla Hall, Immaculata, in 2001. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 10 at Camilla Hall by her grandnephew, Father Stephen P. DeLacy. Burial was at Immaculata. Also survived by a sister, Sister Miriam Bernard, I.H.M., nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and members of her congregation. Sister Marie Murray Sister Marie Andrea Murray, O.S.F., died May 10, 2005, at the age of 93. She was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia for 72 years. Born in Philadelphia, Sister Marie Andrea served 41 years in the Philadelphia Archdiocese, 14 years in the Seattle Archdiocese, seven years in the Allentown Diocese and seven years in the Harrisburg Diocese. She retired to Assisi House, Aston. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 13 at Assisi House. Burial was at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Aston. Surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and members of her congregation. Robert Pigeon Robert L. Pigeon, 78, of Lansdale, died April 26, 2005. He was the husband of Yvonne (Riley) Ratcheck Pigeon, and predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Marie (Mecklenborg) Pigeon. Mr. Pigeon was an engineer for Westinghouse Electric and AEL. In retirement, he was a tipstaff for the Montgomery County Courthouse. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Men of Malvern and St. Phillip’s Phillipians During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 2 at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Plymouth Meeting. He was the father of Robert, Joseph, and Anne Marie Tancini. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Buddy Pigeon, and his wife, Catherine Sherwood Pigeon. Joseph Pucillo Joseph N. Pucillo, 71, of King of Prussia, husband of Bernadette C. Pucillo (born Campbell), died April 26, 2005. For 20 years, Mr. Pucillo was accountant and president for Accounting Services Associates, Inc., of Valley Forge. He was a graduate of St. Joseph’s University and served in the U.S. Army. The funeral Mass was celebrated April 30 at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, Havertown. Burial was at St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown. He was the father of Joseph N., John J., Michael, and Thomas C. Pucillo; Bernadette Pucillo, Jeanne-Marie Pucillo, Megan N. Pucillo and Jennifer Mott. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by sisters, Palma Tropea and Phyllis Wadsworth, and a brother, Louis Pucillo. Kathy Regan Kathy Marie Regan of New Milford, Pa., died May 3, 2005, in Florida. She was born in Philadelphia. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 18, 2005 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Penndel. Burial was at the parish cemetery. She was the daughter of Rita Clancy Rosemill and the late Francis X. Regan. Surviving are two sisters, Dorie Regan Nicoletto and Joanne Regan, and three nieces. Sister Mary Wachowiak Sister Mary Theonilia Wachowiak, C.S.S.F., a Felician Sister for 61 years. died May 3, 2005, at the age of 80. The former Clara Wachowiak, Sister Theonilia was an elementary school teacher in Pennsylania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware. At one time, she served at St. Laurentius School, Philadelphia. The funeral Mass was celebrated May 6 at the infirmary, Lodi, N.J. Burial was at the community cemetery. Surviving are a brother, Dr. Walter Wachowiak; nieces; nephews, and members of her congregation.
