Margaret Brennan
Margaret M. Brennan, 84, formerly of Yeadon, died July 31, 2005. She was the daughter of the late John and Delia Byrne. She was a retired employee of the Atlantic Richfield company. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 3 at St. Francis Country House, Darby. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. She was the sister of Mark D. Brennan and the late Sister Mary Genevieve Brennan, I.H.M., and John J. Brennan. She was an aunt of John J. and Dr. Mark D. Brennan Jr.

Sister Marian Cecilia
Sister Marian Cecilia, I.H.M., the former Madeline M. Scheuring, died Aug. 16, 2005. She was 88. Born in Reading, Sister Marian Cecilia served as a music teacher in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. She also served in the Allentown Diocese. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 19 at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. Burial was at Immaculata. Surviving are a sister, Joan Richards; nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and members of her congregation.

Vincent Elliott
Vincent J. Elliott, 86, of Hammonton, N.J., died Aug. 24, 2005. He was the husband of Elizabeth B. Elliott (born Goetz). Mr. Elliott was past president of the Railroad Holy Name Society. He was a member of San Domingo Council, K. of C., Springfield, Pa. During World War II he served in the Army. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 30 at Blessed John XXIII Church, Blue Anchor, N.J. Burial was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cedar Brook, N.J. He was the father of Barbara E. Rice, Jane Garchinsky, Vincent J. Elliott and the late Marianne Elliott. Also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Father Arthur P. Elliott; Louis J.; Catherine P. and Thomas A. Elliott; Mary McDonald; Raymond J. Elliott, and Alice M. Mangan.

Margaret Kelly
Margaret E. Kelly (born Murphy) of Philadelphia and Surf City, N.J., died Aug. 30, 2005 in her 93rd year. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Kelly. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 3 at St. Bridget Church. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. She was the mother of James P., Dorothy E., Joseph J., Richard and Philip. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Paul Lloyd Sr.
Paul A. Lloyd, Sr., 75, formerly of Blue Bell and Chestnut Hill, died Aug. 28, 2005. He was the husband of Helena Lloyd (born Tiers). Mr. Lloyd was a retired accountant and business consultant. He was a 1947 graduate of Roman Catholic High School. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 1 at Our Mother of Consolation Church. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. He was the father of Carrie Doherty, Helena Holmes, Meg Celmayster, Chip Lloyd and Paul A. Lloyd Jr. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. He was a brother of David Lloyd.

Edward Mallon
Edward J. Mallon, 89, of Rosemont, husband of the late Regina T. Mallon (born McCabe), died Aug. 28, 2005. Mr. Mallon was a member of the “Mighty Mites” basketball team of St. Joseph’s College. He worked as an accountant for William E. Howe & Co. He retired in 1978. During World War II he served in the Army. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 2 at St. Thomas of Villanova Church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Francine M. Mallon; a sister, Dorothea Ayres, and a brother, James Mallon.

Sister Helen Mary
Sister Helen Mary, I.H.M., the former Helen Collins, died Aug. 18, 2005 at the age of 88. Born in Philadelphia, Sister Helen Mary served in elementary and secondary education in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. She also served in the Harrisburg and Metuchen Dioceses. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 22 at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. Burial was at Immaculata. Surviving are a brother, Francis Collins; two sisters, Laetitia Elloia and Sister Irene Elizabeth Collins, I.H.M.; among her nephews, Rev. Mr. Francis Collins; nieces, grand nieces and grand nephews; a cousin, Sister Maria Corona, I.H.M., and members of her congregation. She was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Collins, and a sister, Claire Connors.

Nora Testa
Nora H. Testa (born McBrearty), wife of the late John Testa, died Aug. 26, 2005. Mrs. Testa was a graduate of St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of several organizations. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 30 at St. Jude Church, Chalfont. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. She was the mother of Catherine L. Desiderio; Sister Joan Noreen, OLME; Nora C. Dwyer; John L. Testa; Amy M. Fasti; James J.; Louis P., and Francis P. Testa. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Francis Stroup Sr.

Francis J. Stroup Sr., 82, a Philadelphia Police officer for 26 years, died Aug. 27, 2005. He was the husband of the late Helen M. Stroup (born Gallagher). Mr. Stroup was a member of the Police Department’s 16th District. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 2 at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, Bryn Mawr. Burial was at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. He was the father of Patricia A. Stroup, Linda M. Kennedy and Francis J. Stroup Jr. Also survived by five grandchildren. He was a brother of Joseph and uncle of Constance McGraw.

Joseph Wilson
Joseph A. Wilson, 80, of Lower Gwynedd and Avalon, N.J., husband of Katherine Wilson (born Keenan), died Aug. 17, 2005. Mr. Wilson was a retired accountant and president of Wilson and Wilson Accounting. He served in the Marine Corps. The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 22 at St. Philip Neri Church, Lafayette Hill. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. He was the father of Mary Anne Wilson, Eileen Cahn and the late Joan Wilson. He is also survived by stepdaughters Katherine Hylinski, Michele Mehr and Elizabeth Ann Grove, and two sisters, Jane Dunne and Katherine O’Brien. Also survived by seven grandchildren.
