Cardinal Justin Rigali, at a press conference this past Wednesday afternoon, responded to a Philadelphia Grand Jury’s report on clergy sexual abuse of minors in order to “acknowledge their pain and suffering” and to reiterate his “heartfelt and sincere apologies.” He called such abuse “a grave moral evil.”
