Clare Foley Clare K. Foley (born Ward), wife of the late Joseph F. Foley Sr., died Sept. 11, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 14 at St. Francis Xavier Church, the Oratory. She was the mother of Joseph F. Foley Jr. Also survived by a grandchild. She was the sister of the late Rita M. Allard. Edward Fyke Edward C. Fyke, husband of the late Catherine Fyke (born Harbison), died Sept. 10, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 15 at St. John Neumann Nursing Home. Burial was at New Cathedral Cemetery. He was the father of Edward, Richard, James and Stephen. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Lib, Maejean, Henry and John. Joseph Janos Joseph Janos, husband of the late Mildred Janos (born Giberson), died Sept. 12, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 14 at St. David Church, Willow Grove. Burial was at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. He was the father of Patricia Simmers, Kathleeen Carter, Maureen Peruzzi, Joseph Janos, Teresa Heaton and Carol Urbanski. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. William Keenan Jr. William J. Keenan Jr., 85, husband of Irene A. Keenan (born Obara), died Sept. 11, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 15 at Maternity B.V.M. Church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. He was the father of Eileen, Dr. Mary Ann, William J. and Geri Gregoire. Also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Catherine Whitaker; Sister Kathleen Dolores, I.H.M.; the late Father Walter Keenan; John, James, and Marguerite Kohler. William Maida William F. Maida, husband of Jenny Maida (born Settember), died Sept. 10, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 14 at St. Philip Neri Church, Lafayette Hill. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham. He was the father of William F. Maida Jr. Also survived by a grandchild. He was the brother of Anthony and James. Martha Pelczar Martha B. Pelczar (born Bobrowski), died Sept. 4, 2005. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Pelczar. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 8 at St. John Cantius Church. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. She was the mother of Larry W. Pelczar and Judith B. Midgette. Also survived by four grandchildren. She was a sister of Mary Wisniewski, Thomas and Leonard Bobrowski and the late Elizabeth Stutz. She was a sister-in-law of Father Edward A. Pelczar. Sister Catherine Schneider Sister Catherine M. Schneider, I.H.M., formerly known as Sister Charles Marita, died Aug. 30, 2005. She was 78. Born in Philadelphia, Sister Catherine Schneider served in elementary education in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. Her last assignment was at Holy Name Parish for 13 years. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 2 at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. Burial was at Immaculata. Surviving are a sister, Carol Schneider, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, also members of her congregation. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Schneider, III, and a sister, Jane Schneider. Gerard Tarzia Gerard E. Tarzia, 45, of Ambler, husband of Robin A. Tarzia (born Rostron), died Sept. 13, 2005. Mr. Tarzia was a vice president of Rohm & Haas. He formerly was a member of the board of trustees of Lehigh University and also served as president of the alumni association. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 17 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Ambler. He was the father of Kelsey, Luke and Claire Tarzia. Also survived by his parents, Aldo and Virginia O’Brien Tarzia. He was a brother of Maryrose Toto. Carlos Thillet Jr. Dr. Carlos J. Thillet Jr., 82, professor emeritus at Villanova University, husband of the late Mildred C. Thillet (born Humason), died Sept. 12, 2005. He resided in Blue Bell. A native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Thillet was a member of the Villanova biology department since 1960. He was department chairman from 1967 to 1976. He was a lector at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish in Plymouth Meeting and a member of the Knights of Columbus. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 17 at Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Burial was at St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown. He was the father of Rachael Thomas, Mariana Cooney, Lillian Agullar, Carlos and the late Audree Ryan. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Mary Tropea Mary Tropea (born Bonder), of Warminster, wife of the late Robert E. Tropea, died Sept. 3, 2005. The funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 8 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Warrington. Burial was at Westminster Cemetery. She was the mother of Deanna Tropea and Lorraine Hahn. Also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
