Pilgrim Statue

The Moral Life
A seven-session course on “Living the Moral Life” will be held at the St. John Chrysostom School Library in Wallingford starting at Wednesday, Jan. 18. The sessions will be held at 3:15 p.m. Wednesdays and again at 7 p.m. Thursdays. Sister Antoinette Munafo, S.S.J., will be the presenter. Participants will explore such contemporary concerns as health, life, human sexuality, and social, economic and political issues. Volunteer Corps
Men and women over the age of 50 are invited to join the Ignatian Lay Volunteer Corps. The group share their skills, talent and wisdom in service to the poor. A meeting of the group is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 at St. Joseph’s University. Information: 215-923-1733.

St. Basil Academy in Jenkintown will conduct a family bingo at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 in the school cafeteria.
Basketball Clinic
Young men from Don Guanella School visited Villanova Universiy Dec 28 for a basketball clinic hosted by the nationally ranked Villanova men’s varsity basketball team. The clinic has taken place since 1985. Don Guanella is a facility operated by Catholic Social Services in Delaware County, for boys with disabilities ranging in age from five to 21.

Foster Parents
Catholic Social Services is looking for married or single adults to become foster parents to children of all ages, races and religions. Homes are also needed for children with special or emotional needs, and for siblings who wish to live together. Information: 215-587-3960.

The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants will conduct a vigil for life at four area locations. A vigil will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at Christ the King Church. Following Mass at 7 a.m., the clergy and congregation will pray the rosary at a nearby abortion center. A vigil will also be held Jan. 7 at 8 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, West Chester. Following Mass, the clergy and congregation will pray the rosary at a nearby abortion site. ...
