Sister
Vincent Duffield
Sister M. Vincent Joseph Duffield, I.H.M., the former Catherine M. Duffield,
died Aug. 7, 2006. She was 83.
Born in Philadelphia, during her years of ministry in the Philadelphia
Archdiocese, Sister Vincent Joseph served in elementary education. She
also served in the Allentown, Camden, San Jose and Hartford Dioceses.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 9 at Camilla Hall, Immaculata. Burial
was at Immaculata.
Surviving are nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and members of
her congregation.
She was predeased by four brothers, Father Joseph Duffield, O.S.F.S.;
John; James, and Louis; also three sisters, Rose, Betty and Mary.
Bernard Grogan Jr.
Bernard A. Grogan Jr., 91, of Broomall, husband of the late Marie Grogan,
died Aug. 12, 2006.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. Pius X Church, Broomall.
Burial was at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
He was the father of Roberta Bennett and Bernard Grogan III.
Also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a step-daughter,
Jacqueline Robertone.
John Hutton
John H. Hutton, 88, of West Chester, husband of Elizabeth T. Hutton, died
Aug. 18, 2006.
Mr. Hutton was an architectural engineer with Glasgow, Inc., of Glenside.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 22 at SS. Simon and Jude Church,
West Chester. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Turner, Catheriner Hawes and
Mary Christine Hutton, and a son, John E. Hutton.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mary Keenan
Mary C. Keenan (born Moore) of Pennypack Woods, wife of James P. Keenan,
died Aug. 13, 2006.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. Dominic Church. Burial
was at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
She was the mother of James P. Keenan Jr., Edward W. Keenan and Kathleen
Keenan.
Also survived by a brother, Bud Moore; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren,
and a cousin.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Ed, Bob, Jack, Donald and Raymond
Moore.
Elizabeth Kirk
Elizabeth L. Kirk Korytowski (born Bray), 94, wife of the late Joseph
V, Kirk, died Aug. 13, 2006.
Mrs. Kirk was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 20 at St, Jerome Church. Burial was
at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
She was the mother of Arlene Urbanski.
Also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Frances Marino
Frances Marino (born Zito), 89, wife of the late Joseph C. Marino, died
Aug. 12, 2006.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 16 at St. William Church. Burial
was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
She was the mother of Marie Marruci, Joseph Jr. and James G.
Also survived by five grandchildrern and eight great-grandchildren.
Mary McGinty
Mary A. (Mame) McGinty (born Burns) of Drexel Hill, wife of the late Francis
L. McGinty, died Aug. 12, 2006.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 16 at Little Flower Manor, Darby.
Burial was at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
She was the mother of Linus McGinty.
Also survived by two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Sister Chrisanne Milcarsky
Sister Chrisanne Milcarsky, C.S.F.N., died Aug. 11 at the age of 64. She
was a member of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for 47 years.
Sister Chrisanne served in education for over 40 years at several schools
in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. She also served as guidance director
at Nazareth Academy High School.
From 1995 to 2003, she served in the archdiocesdan Office of Catholic
Education.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 14 at the provincial chapel. Burial
was at the community cemetery.
Sister Rose Wagner
Sister Rose Amelia Wagner, O.S.F., the former Mary Constance Wagner, died
Aug. 18, 2006. She was 92 and a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of
Philadelphia for 75 years.
Sister Rose Amelia ministered primarily in elementary education. She served
24 years in the Philadelphia Archdiocese, where she taught music in many
of the schools.
Sister Rose also served 22 years in the Baltimore Archdiocese; 23 years
in Florida, and five years in the Allentown Dioicese.
In 2001, she retired to Assisi House, Aston.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 23 at Assisi House. Burial was at
Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Aston.
Surviving are a nephew, cousin and members of her congregation.
