Virginia Tech tragedy:
‘We will recover... We will survive, with your prayers’

As students of Virginia Tech took up their lives again this week following the murderous rampage that left their school stunned and grieving, it was becoming clear that their spirit — far from being crushed — has blossomed within the embrace of prayers and love from across the United States.

The Philadelphia Archdiocese has joined in that embrace, with the city and nation as a whole, reaching out in a spirit of compassion to the community of students, faculty and staff at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University — Virginia Tech.
