“America’s Church” was totally Philadelphia on Saturday, April 28, when area Catholics made a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.


Tragedy after the prom
A night of joyful celebration ended in a tragic early morning car accident that cut short the life of Little Flower High School senior Lacey Gallagher, 18, and seriously injured most of the other six occupants of the automobile in which she was traveling.

Hearing hands, giving hearts
Redemptorist Father Anthony Russo knew he had a slight hearing problem when he was young. What he did not know was that his “problem” would point the way for his priestly vocation. Father Russo is coordinator of the Deaf Apostolate program of the Archdiocese — one of the many organizations that receive funds from Catholic Charities, whose financial appeal is now underway.
