It had to be one of the most unusual
grass-roots demonstrations Philadelphia has ever seen. Imagine a
sea of hundreds of children, accompanied by parents and teachers
marching across town from Port Richmond to Fairmount Park, all in
the cause of peace. Not peace in the Middle East, not peace in Africa,
but peace in their own backyard.
