All it took was a friend’s invitation to lead Lise-Ziolaine Joseph
back to the Catholic Church.
That invitation was to attend a charismatic prayer group. At first, Joseph
found excuses not to go. She was too busy with work, with school, with
life. But her friend’s loving persistence, and a moment of grace,
brought Joseph to her first charismatic gathering.
“At the time, I had been going to the Protestant church,”
Joseph said. “Then I got really sick and no one came to visit me,
so I decided I would forget church altogether.”
Joseph had been raised Catholic, but didn’t have a deep understanding
of her faith — that is, until she encountered the Charismatic
Renewal movement.
