Rigali speaks at workshop on Pennsylvania marriage amendment
It is “urgent” for Catholics to join a grassroots effort for a marriage protection amendment in Pennsylvania, Cardinal Justin Rigali said at a recent marriage workshop. Celebrating 40 Days For Life Hundreds of people throughout the area have reason to celebrate after participating in a nationwide campaign of 40 days of prayer, fasting and community outreach to end abortion in the United States. The results were better than many expected. Nativity B.V.M. celebrates 125 years Nativity B.V.M. Church in Port Richmond, where Cardinal Justin Rigali celebrated a 125th anniversary Mass on Oct. 28, stands out in a crowd. celebrates Black Catholic history
The weekend of Nov. 2-4 was a joyous one for Philadelphia’s African American community, filled with special anniversaries during the 200th anniversary year of Philadelphia as a diocese. Cardinal Justin Rigali will head an archdiocesan pilgrimage next June in Quebec City, Canada, for the 49th International Eucharistic Congress.
