Joseph Manson of St. Genevieve Parish, Flourtown, dies at 74
Deacon Joseph J. Manson, a permanent deacon at St. Genevieve Parish, Flourtown,
died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007. He was 74.
He was ordained in 1989.
Auxiliary Bishop Daniel E. Thomas will celebrate Deacon Manson’s
funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at St. Genevieve Church.

Helen M. Connelly
Helen M. Connelly of Wynnewood died Nov. 7, 2007. She was born in Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Connelly, and
a brother, James. A funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 10 at St. Colman
Church, Ardmore. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. She is survived
by her sister, Mary L. Connelly, and a niece and nephew.
Mark A. Wisniewski
Mark A. Wisniewski died suddenly on Nov. 10, 2007, in Bryn Mawr Hospital.
He was 52. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Walter “Cherry”
and Theresa Wisniewski. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Parochial School,
Swedesburg; Upper Merion Senior High School; Penn State University, and
Villanova School of Law. He joined the law firm of Dorian, Goldstein,
Wisniewski and Orchinik, P.C., of Bensalem and Philadelphia in 1982 and
was made a full partner in 1987. He was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred
Heart Church, Swedesburg, where he was a member of the Parish Holy Name
Society and the Polish Festival Committee. He was also a lector, usher
and extraordinary minister of holy Communion at the parish and also at
the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul, where he attended daily
Mass. He donated many hours to the Bucks County Arbitration Committee,
and did a lot of pro bono work. He was an advocate for Mother Teresa and
her Missionaries of Charity sisters in Norristown. A funeral Mass was
celebrated Nov. 17 at Sacred Heart Church. Interment was at St. Augustine
Cemetery, Upper Merion. He is survived by his wife, Laureen; son, Andrew;
daughters, Megan Marie and Kate Lyn; his sisters, Susan Ridgeway and Maria
Italiano, and his brothers, Walter and Robert Wisniewski.
