Catholic Underground for young adults: March 8 at Cathedral chapel

PHILADELPHIA — Catholic Underground Philadelphia, a program for young adults that includes Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and coffeehouse-style entertainment, has moved from St. Gabriel Church in the Grays Ferry section of the city to the chapel of the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Center City, 18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The three-hour gathering, which includes a holy hour, is held on the second Saturday of each month. The next Catholic Underground Philadelphia will be held March 8.

The sacrament of reconciliation will be available in the chapel throughout the evening, beginning at 7:15 p.m. Eucharistic Adoration will begin with vespers and sacred music at 7:30 p.m. and will conclude with Benediction.

Coffeehouse-style entertainment will follow in the chapel basement. The evening will end with night prayer and the singing of Salve Regina.
