Mass for Healing
A First Friday Mass for Healing will be celebrated at 7:15 p.m. Friday,
May 2, at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, Havertown. The rosary will be prayed
at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
Prayer Group
The Padre Pio Prayer Group will meet May 3 at Holy Savior Church, Norristown.
The rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 9 a.m. and
then a group meeting.
Mass
Our Lady Help of Christians School, Philadelphia, will celebrate Mass
and a reception in honor of 129 years of Catholic education at 10:30 a.m.

Wedding Anniversary Masses
Cardinal Justin Rigali will celebrate the annual wedding anniversary Masses
on Sunday, May 4, at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul.
Mass at 11 a.m. will be for couples married 50 or more years from Philadelphia
and Montgomery Counties.
Mass at 2:30 p.m. will be for couples married 50 or more years from Bucks,
Chester and Delaware Counties, and for couples married 25 or more years
from all counties.
No registration is required. Contact the Family Life Office at (215) 587-3516
for special seating for those with disabilities.
Vigils for Life
The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants will conduct vigils for life
at two parishes. A vigil will be held Friday, May 9, at St. John Chrysostom
Church, Wallingford. Following Mass at 9 a.m., the clergy and congregation
will pray the rosary at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Father Rayford
E. Emmons will conduct a vigil on May 10 at the Penn Newman Center, 3720
Chestnut Street. Following Mass at 9 a.m., the group will pray the rosary
at a nearby abortion site.

Information Fair
An information fair on aging and disabled persons will be held from noon
to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Father Sullivan Hall behind Immaculate Heart

Holy Family University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction

The College of LifeLong Learning at Immaculata University will hold an

Choir Benefit
St. Martin of Tours Church, New Hope, will host the Community Christian
Choir at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 9. A benefit collection will be taken to
support Ethan, a young member of the parish who has a form of soft tissue

Longaberger Basket Bingo
St. Mary’s Church, Schwenksville, will host a Longaberger Basket
Bingo evening at 7 p.m. Friday, May 2 in the parish hall. Doors open at

Garage Sale
The Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia will host their annual garage
sale to benefit a girls’ school in South Africa, over the weekend
of May 2 at 609 S. Convent Road. Times are: noon to 5 p.m. Friday, May
2; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 3, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4.
Beef-and-Beer Fundraiser
Nazareth Academy High School will host a beef-and-beer event from 2 p.m.
to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Cannstatter’s, 9130 Academy Rd. The
event includes a classic car show. The rain date is May 17. For more information,

Spaghetti Dinner
