Vigils for Life
Msgr. Daniel J. Sullivan will conduct the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants vigil for life Saturday, July 19. Following Mass at 7 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Center City, clergy and congregation will pray the rosary at a nearby abortion center and return to St. John’s for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Helpers of God’s Precious Infants will conduct vigils for life at two locations. Following Mass at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 11 at St. John Chrysostom Church, Wallingford and Mass at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at Newman Hall, 3720 Chestnut St., the clergy and congregation will pray the rosary at a nearby abortion site.

Educational

Summer Learning
Bishop McDevitt High School and Richard Fuller will offer summer learning classes starting Monday, July 21 and Fall PSAT/SAT classes starting Thursday, Oct. 2. The classes will focus on four areas, Algebra 1- Enrichment Program (grades 5-9); Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus (grades 8-12); and a comprehensive PSAT/SAT program (grades 9-12), with an 8 to 1 student to teacher ratio. Beach Celebration
West Catholic High School will hold its 21st Annual Burrs at the Beach Celebration from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at Westy’s Irish Pub, North Wildwood, N.J. Pioneer Nuns celebrate 100 years of service to children and families starting at 2 p.m. with a liturgy at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th & Lehigh Streets, Easton; followed by a reception and dinner at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 25th Street, Sunday, July 13. This event will honor and celebrate the Salesian Sisters and their great service as educators and friends to the people of Pennsylvania. Cost per dinner ticket is $50.
