Mission Education Materials

Membership: For $1.25 each, children receive three grade-appropriate issues of It’s Our World.  The newsletter connects U.S. children to children in the Missions, and teaches them about the realities of the Developing World through stories, activities, and prayer.  This publication also highlights missionaries who devote themselves to proclaiming the Gospel.

Advent: Children prepare for Christmas by offering prayers and sacrifices for children in the Missions.  Program includes teaching guide and a poster the Missions in Asia.

Lent:  Program includes teaching guide and a poster featuring Missions in Africa.

Mission Magazine: Publication of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, available for students in grades 7 and 8.  A discussion guide accompanies each issue.

National Prayer Week:  HCA members throughout the United States offer prayers for the Missions.

HCA Around the World: Increase children’s understanding of world events and geography while helping to animate their missionary spirit.  Includes program guide, two world maps, one globe coin bank, and a series of flag decals representing countries in which the Church receives assistance from HCA to help children.

Sacrificial giving:  Coin folders, envelopes, and offering boxes are available for use with any HCA program

 Holy Childhood Association Order Form

A group of children from Christ the King Church, Sojong, Diocese of Diphu, India.  HCA funds several boarding schools in this rural part of India. Bishop John Moolachira visited Philadelphia and told us that the children in his mission diocese belong to HCA and pray and sacrifice for the missions throughout the world.
