NUTRITIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO CONTINUE
ANNUAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATION

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will sponsor a Peace Day Celebration. The Peace Day Celebration has become an annual summer event for many of the more than 500 sites that offer the Summer Meals Program in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. During Peace Day participating sites teach the children how to be peacemakers in their community through various activities.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010
11:30 a.m.
Welcome Center at Grace-Incarnation Church
2645 E. Venango Street
Philadelphia, PA 19134

During the celebration at the Welcome Center, campers will decorate peace puzzles and peace eggs. They will also spend time praying and reflecting on their role as peacemakers.

This summer Nutritional Development Services will serve more than one million meals as part of its sponsorship of the federally-funded Summer Meals Program. The children at more than 500 sites receive lunch and a choice of breakfast or a snack throughout the course of their summer program.
